MCEA Leadership Forum |

Mission The mission of the MCEA Leadership Forum is to be the voice for life-long Catholic formation, education and instruction for Catholics in Minnesota. The forum promotes catechesis/religious education, Catholic schools, youth ministry and campus ministry. The MCEA Leadership Forum is made up of advisory representatives from each diocese of Minnesota.

Vision Statement The Leadership Forum will more clearly articulate its purpose while collaboratively promoting education, faith formation and Catholic identity within and among the dioceses of Minnesota.

Leadership Forum Strategic Plan
Objective
1 - Just Compensation
The
Leadership Forum will help Bishops, Priests, Catholic Laity and the
civic
concept of just compensation
Clearly define the terms "Just Compensation" and "Living Wage
Determine what compensation is needed in the Church today with reference to the dignity and rights of workers within the principles of Catholic Social Teaching
Appropriately communicate findings to Bishops, Priests, Laity and the civic community
Recruit and retain lay ministers
Objective
2 - Effective Communication
The
Leadership Forum will explore methods and means for enhancing the
quality
communication.
MCEA will promulgate timely information about its activities through a variety of media
MCEA
will initiate a batch send e-mail system according to ministry and diocese
Objective
3 - Life-long Learning
The
Leadership Forum will advocate for life-long learning of Catholic
adults,
parishes and schools.
The certification committee will complete the first phase of its work by December 2003 when USCCB Accreditation is received
The MCEA Convention will continue to provide speakers and workshops that address current and ongoing issues facing the local church and parishes
Implement
the Pastoral Plan
for Adult Faith Formation
